Diversified Managed Funds
These funds invest in a variety of asset classes such as shares, bonds, property and cash. The fund manager will vary the percentage weightings to each of these but in general terms there will be no major asset allocation decisions but rather the manager stays within long-term allocations. The manager will also normally wish to remain fully invested at all times with minimal cash holdings.
Some funds have a different management style and focus upon a particular style such as investing in value or themes that are driving global economies.
